Fees are payable in advance monthly and relate to care needs and size of room. The fees will cover for all expenses except for the following: charges arising from hairdressing, chiropody, dental treatment and optician, dry cleaning, newspapers, personal clothing, continence aids, personal toiletries, TV licence or taxis. Payment of fees will remain the responsibility of service users or their agents. A written notice of no less than 4 weeks will be given to the service users or their agents in the event of any rise in fees are implemented. Free regular entertainment in the Home and outings in our own minibus are provided, except for the cost of concert, pantomime or theatre tickets.
Prospective service users are encouraged to visit Chalcraft Hall with their relatives or friends to have a coffee and a chat to staff and other service users. They may also be directed to the Social Services for further advice or guidance if they so wish. The Manager will visit the prospective service user at home where possible so as to gain first hand information about their abilities and lifestyle to facilitate easy settling in when admitted. Prospective service users can move into Chalcraft Hall for a trial period of up to 2 months, by mutual agreement.
