There are two comfortable lounges, dining room and bedrooms on the ground floor. A passenger lift provides access to the first floor where there are further bedrooms. Each room is of a generous size, furnished, carpeted, decorated and most has their own en-suite facilities and TV points. Baths and hoist lifts are also provided. Some rooms have telephone points and a portable telephone handset is available to receive incoming calls in the privacy of your own room. A pay telephone is available for external calls. All rooms have call alarms for help. Smoking and the use of naked lights in bedrooms are strictly prohibited.
A ll Service users are encouraged to bring personal possessions, including small items of furniture, small television, pictures etc., for which they are responsible. Electrical items need to be safety tested prior to use. If items of high value are brought into the Home, these need to be registered with the Manager. Cash or pensions will not be handled by the Manager. Insurance cover for each service user’s property is limited to £500.
A choice of menu is available daily. Meals are wholesome and nutritious. There is a good balance between home-cooked and ready-prepared food with fresh vegetables available daily. Service users are encouraged to socialise by having tea and coffee in the lounge and meals in the dining room, however, personal wishes will be honoured.
